EuroControl - an organisation for air traffic in Europe, has among their many other programmes defined a common European aeronautical database - EAD. Data from all member countries will be updated in this databse through an update system based on XML-statement in the EuroControl format AIXM. AIXM has been accepted and widely used in the rest of the world. Avinor is a dedicated driving force to secure the quality in this standard. BAIT AS has assisted Avinor with development of functionality providing and securing the Norwegian aeronautical data export to EAD.
